The Ukrainian Esports Federation, whose president is Maksym Krippa, announced the start of the fourth stage of the Ukrainian CS2 and Dota 2 Championship. The main change of this stage is the possibility of registration for players without their own team. UESF will independently form squads, selecting participants by level of play and roles. The Ukrainian Dota League, which has already helped to complete teams in previous stages, will also join this process.
The federation spoke about the Stage 4 format in its material.
A separate part of the new stage was a partnership with Logitech G, a company specializing in the production of gaming peripherals. Its equipment is regularly used at major international esports tournaments. Cooperation with Logitech G should help UESF strengthen contact with the audience and encourage more players to join official competitions.
“The importance of such an event is very difficult to overestimate. Logitech G has been supporting Ukrainian esports for many years and today we are happy to announce this partnership. I also want to note the wonderful people who work with us from Logitech G. Who share our values, care about Ukrainian youth and move our common cause forward. I am sure that this is just the beginning of an even greater joint development story,” said UESF CEO Andriy Hryshchenko.
What was the result of the first three stages of the Ukrainian Championship
The previous three stages have shown that the Ukrainian Championship can be a launching pad for teams that aspire to reach the international level. Teams that have passed Stages 1–3 are already gradually establishing themselves outside the Ukrainian scene. An important factor for their further development has also become VRS status — UESF tournaments receive it starting from the playoffs.
Thus, each of the three previous stages already has its own examples of teams that, after participating in the championship, continued their performances on the international stage. Now, the participants of Stage 4 will have the opportunity to repeat this path.
In Dota 2, the development of events is somewhat different. One team became the champion twice in a row, changing the team name. That is why this time UESF wants to expand the circle of participants through the individual registration format and cooperation with the Ukrainian Dota League.
