NAVI Junior defeated Falcons Force 2–1 in the match to advance to the main stage of the EPL Series 9 Play-In. Thanks to this victory, the Ukrainian organization secured its spot in the main stage of the tournament.
NAVI Junior’s path to the decisive match began in the group stage. First, the team confidently handled train launcher, winning on Mirage (13–3) and Ancient (13–5). The next match against Permitta proved to be much more intense. The rivals traded wins on Mirage (7–13) and Nuke (13–11), after which everything came down to Anubis—where NAVI Junior prevailed once again with a score of 13–11.
The Ukrainians’ final opponent was Falcons Force—a European roster led by coach NaToSaphiX. The teams played a close match, but in the most crucial rounds, NAVI Junior proved to be the stronger team and clinched the series victory.
The main stage of EPL Series 9 will take place online from September 12 to 30. A total of 24 teams will participate in the tournament, which is classified as Tier 2. A total of $20,000 in prize money is up for grabs: the champion will receive $11,000, the runner-up $5,000, the third-place team $3,000, and the fourth-place team $1,000. The remaining 20 participants will not receive any prize money if they are eliminated.
However, we won’t have to wait long for another matchup against Falcons Force NAVI Junior. On September 13, the teams will face off again—this time in the ESEA Advanced Season 58 playoffs. This series will also be crucial for the Ukrainian club, as a loss will mean the end of their run in the tournament.
