Maincast Sport Launches “UPL Evening”: A New Show Covering the Top Stories in Ukrainian Football

Maincast Sport, part of the ARS Capital holding company owned by businessman Maksym Krippa, is expanding its sports broadcasting with a new project focused on Ukrainian soccer. On August 3 at 8:00 p.m., the channel will premiere the weekly show “UPL Evening,” dedicated to events in the Ukrainian Premier League.

The show will air once a week and cover the main topics of each round in a single broadcast. The producers promise to go beyond simply reviewing the results: the program will analyze team tactics, controversial refereeing decisions, transfer news, and other important events.

The idea for “UPL Evening” emerged following the successful launch of a similar basketball format—“NBA Evening.” According to Maincast co-founder Vitaliy Volochay, the team now wants to apply the proven approach to Ukrainian football.

“Following the success of our basketball show ‘NBA Evening,’ we decided to give the same attention to our very own Ukrainian Premier League. We’re creating this show not only for those who have long been avid followers of the UPL, but also for those who, for whatever reason, have never watched it or have watched it very little—just as we did with ‘NBA Evening.’ “UPL Evening” will feature everything that made “NBA Evening” unique: interesting and dynamic segments, and guests who are equally well-versed in the intricacies of the game and know how to keep the conversation engaging and original,” Volochay noted.

Thus, “UPL Evening” is designed not only for audiences who regularly follow the Ukrainian championship. The team is placing a special emphasis on viewers who are not yet in the habit of watching the UPL or are just beginning to take an interest in national soccer.

The first episode will air on August 3 at 8:00 p.m. on Maincast Sport, the maincast.tv platform, and the Maincast YouTube channel.

Maincast Sport is strengthening its position in the sports market

The launch of the football show comes as Maincast Sport itself continues to develop as a standalone sports media brand. The channel produces its own content centered on sports competitions—including analysis shows, podcasts, and entertainment programs. Maincast also devotes significant attention to esports.

Unlike Maincast’s esports broadcasts, which are distributed via 1+1 media, the sports TV channel is distributed by the Starlight Media group.

In July 2026, Maincast Sport also won the “Debut” category at the 9th BigData Awards—the channel was recognized as one of the most promising new TV channels among Ukrainian OTT/IPTV services.

“UPL Evening” is set to become a regular post-match recap show following each round of the Premier League—featuring an analysis of what happened on the football field and a discussion of the most notable events of the Ukrainian championship.
