The team\u2019s path to the main event was far from easy: after a rough start, the Ukrainians secured three consecutive victories and capped off the qualifiers with a 3\u20131 triumph over Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The regional qualifiers took place August 14\u201316 <\/strong>and were held in a double-elimination format. A loss to the Kazakhstani national team early in the tournament sent Ukraine to the lower bracket, where every subsequent match became a must-win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ukrainians began their comeback with a 2\u20130 victory over Greece. The team then defeated Kyrgyzstan without losing a single map and, in the lower bracket final, beat Poland 3\u20131.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>victory secured Ukraine\u2019s spot in the Esports Nations Cup<\/strong>. Three esports players\u2014<strong>Serhiy \u201cPelmetronio\u201d Lysogor<\/strong>, <strong>Vladyslav \u201cGODBELIEVER\u201d Grabchenko<\/strong>, and <strong>Anton \u201cstonix\u201d Dragnev<\/strong>\u2014play for Boars Gaming and already have experience competing together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lysogor plays the role of gold laner. His best result is 1,032 Mythical Immortal stars, as well as several top-three finishes at Surge Europe. Grabchenko is the winner of MEK Season 1 and the silver medalist of the tournament\u2019s second season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Igor \u201cSensei\u201d Khimyak<\/strong> from Minerva Fury took the mid-lane spot, while <strong>Igor \u201cmakar0n\u201d Makarenko<\/strong> from White Army filled the jungler role. Khimyak has been playing MLBB since 2017; he previously represented Team Falcons, finished fourth in MCC Season 2, and placed 5th\u20138th at IESF 2024. Makarenko is also no stranger to representing Ukraine\u2014he played for the national team at IESF WEC 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The roster also <strong>included substitutes Kirill \u201cPankrattt\u201d Shinkar<\/strong> and <strong>Daniil \u201cRISE\u201d Lizon<\/strong>. The <strong>UESF served as the tournament\u2019s official National Team Partner<\/strong>, forming the rosters of Ukrainian teams across nine disciplines and coordinating their participation in the qualifiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UESF CEO Andriy Gryshchenko called the Ukrainian national team\u2019s advancement a significant achievement in the regional qualifiers. According to him, the team went through several intense matchups, and the decisive series was particularly intense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote td_pull_quote td_pull_center is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis is an important victory for the Ukrainian national team in the regional qualifiers. It was a journey filled with fierce battles and a thrilling grand final. I want to thank the team for all their hard work,\u201d said Gryshchenko.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Ukrainian Esports Federation <\/strong>(UESF) is a national organization dedicated to the development and regulation of esports in Ukraine. <strong>Under the leadership of President Maksym Krippa<\/strong>, <strong>the federation hosts national championships<\/strong>, <strong>represents Ukrainian esports on the international stage<\/strong>, and <strong>develops an ecosystem for players of all skill levels<\/strong>\u2014from amateurs to professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, there is some disappointing news for esports fans: <strong>the ENC has been<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsnationscup.com\/en\/press-releases\/ef-postpones-enc-to-november-2027\">postponed<\/a> <strong>until November 2027<\/strong>.
