fnatic has officially announced its new player— 17-year-old Ukrainian Volodymyr “mazay” Yorgachov. He is joining the British organization from Spirit Academy, where he has been playing recently.
On fnatic’s main roster, the young marksman will take the place of Viktor “Br4tkO” Kondratets, whom the organization has moved to the bench. The Ukrainian joined the club just this spring after a transfer from Lazer Cats, but during his time with the team, his average rating was 0.97.
After the transfer was announced, mazay shared his thoughts on the social media platform X. According to the esports player, he is grateful to the academy for the experience and knowledge he gained while on the team, and he considers the opportunity to play for fnatic an important step in his career. He also assured everyone that he is ready to do his very best to help his new team achieve great results.
Yorgachov joined the academy from the aggressor country in the summer of 2025, replacing Kyousuke. However, his time with the team was short-lived: because he was studying in Germany, he was unable to fully participate in training, so both sides decided to end their collaboration.
mazay is the latest addition to the roster, marking Fnatic’s second roster move of the summer off-season. Earlier , the organization also bolstered its roster by signing Artem “cairne” Mushynsky, who transferred from Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The club expects that the arrival of two young snipers will help the team significantly boost its firepower. At the time the invite list for the Cologne Major was finalized, fnatic was ranked only 50th in Europe, trailing the qualification zone by nearly 300 Valve points. That is why this roster update should be an important step in the team’s quest to return to the ranks of the region’s competitive teams.
