NAVI secured a victory in the lower bracket match of the PGL Wallachia Season 9 playoffs. The Ukrainian team defeated Nemesis 2-1 and advanced in the tournament.
The match did not start well for NAVI. On the first map, Nemesis managed to impose their style of play on their opponents and took the map, putting the team in a difficult position. However, NAVI then seized the initiative and responded with two consecutive victories.
The team played with particular confidence on the second map—NAVI nearly doubled their opponent’s kill count: 28 to 15. On the decisive third map, the battle was much closer, but the Ukrainians once again came out on top in this category—29 to 22—which helped them close out the series in their favor.
Thus, NAVI advances through the lower bracket of PGL Wallachia Season 9. For Nemesis, this loss marks the end of their run in the tournament.
Nemesis arrived at the competition without their starting lineup. Due to visa issues, Ken and Jabz missed the tournament and were replaced by stand-ins Mo13ei and SaberLight.
Nemesis advanced to the playoffs through the group stage, where they played five matches. The team defeated 1w, MOUZ, and Conventus Stellarum, but lost to Yndx and GamerLegion.
NAVI ended up in the lower bracket after a 1-2 loss to LGD in a tense series. In their next match, the Ukrainians will play against the team that loses the Aurora vs. Team Yndx matchup.
